The brown background that gives this card its name sets it apart within the American Tobacco Company's T207 series, and Library staff devised the title because the card itself carries no such name. Tobacco companies of the 1910s packed cards like this into cigarette packages to encourage brand loyalty and repeat purchases. Printed in color using relief halftone, the card reflects the commercial printing methods of its era. It is part of the Benjamin K. Edwards Collection of baseball cards at the Library of Congress.
