Titled in French "Mon Mari," or "My Husband," this 1976 drypoint is impression 6 of an edition of 50, signed and dated in pencil by Nadezda Plisková, born in 1934. Drypoint is made by scratching lines directly into a metal plate with a steel needle, and the raised burr along each groove prints as a soft, velvety line that other methods struggle to match. An older caption card suggests a theme of marriage, though that has not been confirmed. The sheet entered the Library's collection through the Pennell Fund, which is named for Joseph Pennell.
