This glass negative is one of the few in the collection that points to a specific address, 907 16th Street NW, with "Times" as the only name on the building. The title comes from data the National Photo Company wrote on the negative or its sleeve, so the business name is not independently confirmed. The company photographed Washington streets and buildings for commercial use through the 1910s and early 1920s, and 16th Street, which runs north from the White House area, was a busy corridor of offices and shops at the time. The record also notes streaks and blemishes from the breakdown of the original coating, which are typical of glass plates from this period.
