Passengers sailing from Philadelphia on this route would call at Queenstown, the Irish port now known as Cobh, before reaching Liverpool. The American Line operated passenger services like this in the 1930s, and Brussels printers produced color posters such as this one to attract European travelers. Signed by the artist H. Cassiers and issued by the firm of O. De Rycker & Mendel, it reflects an era when ocean liners were the main way to cross the Atlantic and posters were a key tool for filling their cabins.
