A night scene of illuminated gondolas and barges sets this sheet apart, advertising the aquatic festivities of *Venice the Bride of the Sea* at Olympia. Imre Kiralfy, the Hungarian-born producer of large-scale spectacles, appears in a small portrait in the upper left corner, a sign that his name was itself a draw for these productions. The lithograph was printed in America by the Strobridge Lithographing Company of Cincinnati and New York, and its subject terms, including lighting and historical drama, point to the stagecraft that made Kiralfy's shows famous in the early 1890s.
