Few wartime posters ask for help as plainly as this 1914 color lithograph by D.H. Souter, which pairs its one-word title with the Australian Red Cross Society's appeal and a depiction of nurses. It belongs to the membership drives the young society ran during the First World War, when hospitals and nursing services were strained by the demands of the conflict. Its call was aimed at ordinary citizens, asking them to join and give so that care for the sick and wounded could continue.
