Its subject headings pair farming with a rainbow, an unusual combination for a war-bond poster. Titled *Die 9. Kriegsanleihe!* ("The 9th War Loan"), this 1918 German lithograph was designed by Otto Ubbelohde, a painter and illustrator known for his landscapes and book illustrations. It urged Germans to buy bonds to fund the war in its final months, when the government leaned heavily on private savings. Farming imagery suggests the appeal reached rural households, whose savings and food production both mattered to the war effort.
