Robbin's Corner, photographed looking west, shows a residential intersection in Walkerville, Ontario, a town across the Detroit River from Detroit that was later absorbed into Windsor. Walkerville grew up around the Hiram Walker distillery, and its orderly streets reflected the prosperity of a company town. The Detroit Publishing Company, which produced large glass-plate views of towns and scenery across North America, made this 8 x 10 inch negative sometime between 1905 and 1915.
