A view labeled "WYOMING" and taken from the Brooklyn Bridge, the span that opened in 1883 and linked Manhattan with Brooklyn across the East River. The title comes from Bain News Service caption data that has not been independently verified, so the subject it names should be read with some caution. Bain News Service was a New York photo agency whose glass negatives document city streets, waterfronts and everyday life in the early twentieth century. Like others from the bridge, this one offers an elevated vantage over the harbor and the busy shoreline below.
