A 1936 lithograph titled *The Lindy Hop* captures a dance that had grown out of Harlem's ballrooms into national popularity by the mid-1930s. The lithograph was produced for the American Artists Group, a New York venture that made affordable editions of work by American artists during the Depression. Each impression is signed in pencil, and the edition was limited to 100. Its subject, African American social dance, places it within a period when Black dance styles from urban nightclubs were becoming mainstream entertainment, and the print is held by the Library of Congress.
