From the vantage point at 1208 Bigelow Avenue North, this c1921 print places Mount Rainier at the center of the view, with the neighborhood's houses and streets below. Seattle residents have long treated the mountain as a daily landmark, visible across Puget Sound on clear days, and views like this were common in the 1920s. The print was made by Maurice P. Anderson, whose copyright registration appears in the Library of Congress record. It is one of many cityscapes from the decade showing how the mountain shaped the way Seattle saw itself.
