A large lithograph of President Grover Cleveland with his family, this print is an unusual group portrait of a sitting president, shown with his wife, Frances Folsom Cleveland. Chicago firm Kurz & Allison published it around 1893, the year Cleveland began his second, nonconsecutive term. The couple had married in the White House in 1886, the only wedding of a sitting president held there, and the pair became a popular subject for illustrators and printmakers. Chicago's commercial lithographers, including Kurz & Allison, produced many inexpensive portrait prints that carried public figures' images into middle-class homes.
