A German-made poster for Yellowstone, it shows stagecoaches on a Wyoming road, a reminder that in 1910 the easiest way to see the park's geysers and canyons still meant a coach ride. Munich designer Ludwig Hohlwein was one of the leading poster artists of his day, known for flat shapes and strong color that read quickly from a distance. The notes say it was meant to promote travel to the United States, so it was aimed at European tourists considering a trip across the Atlantic. The printer, G. Schuh & Cie., was a Munich firm, which helps place the work in Germany's busy poster trade before the First World War.
