A caricature titled with a bookkeeper's line, ".00001, the value of a unit with four cyphers going before it," it mocks the Jackson administration's cabinet as nearly worthless. Published in Philadelphia in 1831 by Edward Williams Clay, the lithograph groups Jackson with his cabinet officers, including John Henry Eaton and Peggy Eaton, whose social standing caused a quarrel that roiled the administration that year. Clay drew on an existing portrait of Jackson, and a pencil sketch believed to be his preparatory study survives in the National Portrait Gallery in Washington.
