This poster places the Liberty Bell and the tower of Independence Hall in Philadelphia beside the words "Ring it again," urging Americans to buy U.S. government bonds during the Third Liberty Loan drive. The Liberty Loans helped finance the country's military effort after it entered the First World War in 1917, and the campaigns leaned heavily on posters to reach ordinary households. Sackett & Wilhelms, a New York lithography firm, printed this color version, pairing a symbol of independence with a plea for personal savings.
