Four people, named in the record as Eldridge T. Harding, Eliza Harding Knight, Finley Rice Harding and Lois Harding Dunbar, appear in this 1925 halftone. It was printed as a plate facing page 134 of Wilber J. Harding's *The Hardings in America*, published the same year. Halftones, which break a photograph into a grid of fine dots so it can be printed alongside ordinary type, were the standard way to illustrate books of this kind. The identifications come from a caption card that has not been independently verified, so treat the names as a starting point for research.
