Plymouth is the detail that sets this picture apart from other factory views, since its record names the make rather than only the plant. Plymouth was Chrysler's low-priced brand, introduced in 1928 to compete with Ford and Chevrolet in the budget market. The record dates the print to about 1940, though with a question mark, so it may show a late-1930s or early-1940s plant. By then, moving assembly lines of the kind Ford pioneered in 1913 were standard across the auto industry, and that system of mass production is the main story the photograph tells.
