Judges at work in the roadster classes are the focus of this scene at Madison Square Garden. Roadsters were light harness horses that pulled single-seat carriages, and their competitions drew wealthy exhibitors to the New York horse show, held each autumn in the arena. The negative comes from the Bain News Service, the photo agency founded by George Grantham Bain that supplied images to newspapers. The record dates it to November 1910, though the title comes from unverified caption data.
