Orphaned children are the focus of this glass negative, taken at a New York horse show on November 13. Bain News Service, the photo agency run by George Grantham Bain, supplied pictures of city events to newspapers in the early twentieth century. The title comes from caption data the service recorded and has not been independently verified, so the year and the specific show remain uncertain.
