Titled simply *Welcome*, this hand-colored lithograph was published by Currier & Ives of New York around 1873 and is listed as number 7129 in the firm's catalog raisonné. The record does not describe the scene, but the title and the flowers-and-trees classification suggest a floral or greeting-themed subject. Currier & Ives issued many such sentimental images in quantity, and color was added to each impression by hand, which helped make these prints popular in American homes during the 1870s.
