A silkscreen poster from 1936 announces a four-unit exhibition in New York that brought together paintings, prints, sculpture and murals under one roof. Its design reflects the Federal Art Project, part of the Works Progress Administration, which employed artists during the Depression and used silkscreen to produce inexpensive, eye-catching posters for its shows and community programs. The record also names sculptor Maurice Glickman, and a 1941 date stamp on the reverse shows the poster passed through the collection's processing several years after it was made.
