This lithograph's title promises endorsements from Woodrow Wilson, who was serving as president, along with former presidents William Howard Taft and Theodore Roosevelt, all backing the Young Men's Christian Associations' wartime work. J. F. Butler's design was printed by the Globe Lithographing Company of New York and promoted the YMCA's National War Work Council, which ran canteens and other services for American troops during the First World War. Rather than showing combat, the poster relies on the names of national leaders to make the case for supporting soldiers and sailors, a common approach in the home-front appeals of 1917 and 1918.
