The label's Spanish title, "Estanillo," names a cigar brand, and its wording, "Gran fábrica de cigarros primeros, Gran marca," promotes a large factory turning out top-quality cigars under a leading brand. The record ties the print to H.C. Brüning of Hanau am Main, a German firm known for color printing, and marks it as sheet 3 of a series. Around 1930, cigar makers in Spain and Latin America often ordered such multicolor labels and advertising sheets from European printers. Its survival in the Library of Congress collection makes it a useful record of how tobacco was marketed between the wars.
