The title, "Historisches Konzert z," is cut off, and the record gives no performers, venue or organizer, so the exact event is hard to pin down. The German wording points to a German-speaking setting. In 1918 the war was ending, and across Germany and Austria concerts were held for morale, for charity and for wounded soldiers, while food and fuel shortages grew worse at home. Viewed with that in mind, the picture is best read as a record of how music kept going in the last year of the war, even as the country was exhausted.
