Few holiday images from the 1890s have the flat, decorative confidence of this color lithograph, made in 1896 by Will H. Bradley for an Easter issue of *Harper's Bazaar*. Bradley was one of the most influential American graphic designers of that decade, known for bold outlines, stylized figures, and borrowings from Japanese prints and the Art Nouveau style then spreading through Europe. *Harper's Bazaar*, a fashion weekly founded in 1867, used striking images like this to promote its seasonal content. The record's details come from an older caption card and have not been independently verified.
