This poster advertises the newspaper of the Tenth Army, a field publication meant for German troops at the front. Its subject list points to soldiers reading, a reminder of how much news and morale mattered to men far from home. Dated 1914, the year the war began, it is a color lithograph by A. Saulweber, and it belongs to the Rehse-Archiv für Zeitgeschichte und Publizistik, a collection of German war-era publications. It offers a useful view of how the German war effort addressed its own soldiers.
