A color lithograph poster advertising a "Marine-Schauspiel," a naval spectacle staged within a war exhibition in Vienna, its title crediting the artist Griessler. Printed in 1918, in the final months of the First World War, it shows how the Habsburg capital turned military themes into public entertainment as the conflict dragged on. Its focus on sailors and the navy reflects the public appetite for sea-war drama, and the poster now survives in the Rehse-Archiv, a collection devoted to contemporary history and publishing, making it a useful record of civilian life during the war.
