Millbrook is a small village in Dutchess County, in the Hudson Valley of New York, and this print documents its railroad station as it stood in the 1910s, when the date of about 191- places it. Rural depots like this one were often the busiest spot in town, handling mail, milk and farm produce, coal and lumber, and the arrival of visitors from the city. Photographs of stations from this period are useful for seeing how such buildings were laid out, including platforms, freight areas, and the signage and fashions of the day.
