A color poster from 1898 promotes the Wallace Shows and names the Stirk Family as "the World's greatest bicyclists." The Buffalo firm Courier Litho. Co. printed it, and it was submitted for copyright deposit, which is how many such posters were preserved. Trick cycling was a staple of 1890s circus programs, riding alongside the bicycle boom that swept the United States, when cycling acts drew large crowds under the big top.
