This card belongs to the T212 Obak series, named for the cigarette brand whose packs it came in. The American Tobacco Company issued it in 1910, when tobacco firms routinely packed small baseball cards with their cigarettes to stiffen the packages and encourage repeat buying. The cards were printed in color with a relief halftone process, which gave the portraits a richer look than the plainer cards of the period. Because the Library's record notes that the title was devised by its staff, the name "Obak" on this card is best understood as the brand that distributed it, not a player or team.
