Alec Guinness and Kay Walsh are the performers named on this color poster for *Tunes of Glory*, the 1960 British drama directed by Ronald Neame. Guinness plays Jock Sinclair, a charismatic Highland regiment officer whose flamboyant style clashes with the rigid authority of the character played by John Mills, and the film adapts James Kennaway's 1956 novel about a power struggle within a Scottish army unit. The poster is undated beyond its estimated c1960 printing, and its publisher is unrecorded, so it was probably a promotional piece for theater display. It still conveys the film's mix of military ceremony and personal rivalry.
