A quiet walkway between the cattle sheds at the Kentucky State Fair, dated to October 27, around 1923, is the subject here. Cattle barns were among the busiest parts of a state fair in the early twentieth century, where breeders showed animals, judges weighed their merits, and farm families gathered to compare stock and methods.
