Wright's perspective rendering shows a mountaintop motor destination on Sugar Loaf Mountain in Montgomery County, Maryland, with a mooring mast among the features listed in its subject headings. Drawn in graphite and colored pencil in 1925 for the developer Gordon Strong, it presents the "automobile objective," a planned goal for weekend drivers who would climb the mountain to see the view. Strong's project was never built, but the drawing preserves Wright's ambitions for uniting architecture, landscape and the new culture of the automobile. Wright's signature chop on the sheet confirms its origin in his Chicago office.
