This sheet is set around a drawbridge in Tokyo, and its subject tags also point to foreign visitors crossing it, a theme tied to the country's reopening after 1853. The record credits Isoda Koryūsai, an Edo-period ukiyo-e artist who was active from about 1764 to 1788, yet dates the drawing to 1750, and the subject terms place the scene in 1850 to 1900. That mismatch suggests either a cataloging approximation or a later drawing in an earlier artist's manner. Either way, the pairing of an old Japanese bridge with Western visitors makes it a useful record of how Tokyo, then Edo, looked as it opened to outside contact.
