A mirror routine sits at the center of this 1898 lithograph, which the record tags under "mirrors" and "reflections" and which promotes the comedy *The Rays in Their Howling Success*, billed as a "Hot Old Time." The poster names George M. Cohan, then about twenty and already writing for the stage, and it lists Johnny Ray, whose performances are cataloged here, alongside Emma Ray. The H.C. Miner Litho Co. of New York printed it, and the firm supplied many color posters for the variety and comedy stage of the period. Its copyright registration and edition number show how theatrical advertising was produced and protected in the late 1890s.
