Greenwood Cemetery, the 19th-century garden cemetery on the hills of Brooklyn, is the setting for this memorial, which appears on page 171 of Harry A. Bliss's 1912 volume *Monument Photographs*. Bliss's book gathered photographs of gravestones and monuments, preserving the funerary art that cemeteries and families commissioned in the decades around 1900. The print is a halftone, a process that broke photographs into printable dots and was standard for illustrated books of the period. Details about the monument itself are unverified, so its sculptor and design are not confirmed here.
