The Tropicana nightclub, set among palm trees in Havana, Cuba, was one of the most famous cabaret venues in the Americas from the 1930s through the 1950s. Its open-air stage, framed by greenery, drew large crowds for elaborate revues that mixed dance, music and spectacle. Dancers performing there were part of a tradition that made the club a must-see stop for visitors from the United States and beyond, and the stage remains a striking example of mid-century Havana nightlife.
