Born Winifred Mason, she is pictured here under her married name, Huck. The board on Freemasons appears to group her with the subject because of the surname, not because the record links her to the fraternal order. The photograph was taken in Washington, D.C., on November 24, 1922, and is one of many the National Photo Company made of people in the capital during the early 1920s. The photographer, Herbert E. French, worked for a firm whose negatives now form a large part of the Library of Congress's holdings for that decade.
