Seen from inside, this c1907 view of a large circus tent shows how much room a traveling big top enclosed, with its canvas roof rising high above the seating and ring. Tented circuses of the early 1900s moved from town to town, raising and striking their canvas at each stop, and the bands that played under the tent were an essential part of the spectacle. The caption card's subject tracing "Circus...--Music" points to that musical side of the show. The record credits the picture to F.W. Glasier, but the location is not documented.
