A small watercolor and graphite drawing titled *Camp 100 - Humbolt River* shows an emigrant campsite on the river that ran across northern Nevada. Its signature, "DAJ 1859," is the only attribution the record gives. The Humboldt was a well-traveled stretch of the overland route to the California gold fields, and the subjects listed for the work, including covered wagons, cooking, and a woman at camp, reflect the daily routine of travelers on that road in the late 1850s. Because the drawing is small and modest in scale, it reads more as a personal record of camp life than as a formal view of the landscape.
