Here a young woman kneels nude beside a model of a man's head, a prop that suggests a staged gag rather than a portrait. The copyright credit to Mack Sennett Comedies ties the still to the company's film output of the period between 1919 and 1927. Sennett's studio was known for slapstick comedy and for its troupe of women in revealing costumes, often promoted as bathing beauties, and stills like this were typically made for publicity. The record does not name the film or the performer, so the specific story behind the prop is unknown.
