Let them grow" is a 1938 silkscreen poster from the Ohio branch of the Federal Art Project, and its message is aimed at people who pick wildflowers and damage the state's natural resources. Its subjects are flowers and conservation, and the poster's bold color and simple shapes fit the Works Progress Administration's practice of using inexpensive screen printing to reach ordinary viewers. The verso carries a February 1939 date stamp, which suggests it was circulated or filed within a year of its creation. The poster also reflects the Depression-era federal arts programs, which employed artists and put their work in public places.
