Few pictures on this board pair two players quite like this one, which matches George Low of Baltusol against Jack Jolly of Arlington, with a W. Head listed as trainer. Low was a well-known golfer of his day, and Baltusol was among the leading clubs in New Jersey. The picture is a glass negative from the Bain News Service, a press agency that sent photographers to sporting events and sold their images to newspapers. The record dates it to August 31, 1905, but the title comes from caption data the agency wrote and has not been independently verified.
