The St. Louis Browns of 1910 were a club in the American League, and this panorama captures the whole roster together, a format that was popular for team portraits in the early 1900s. Team panoramas like this one were often sold to fans and posed on a single long plate or film, so the lineup, uniforms and ballpark setting could be seen at once. The Browns were a perennial also-ran in these years, which makes a team portrait from the period a useful record of the players who filled the rosters of that era.
