Few pictures on this board show a single family's homestead as plainly as this 1875 lithograph of the farm and residence of J. Fitch in Aurelius Township, Cayuga County, New York. It appeared as an illustration in the County Atlas of Cayuga, N.Y., published by Walker & Jewett that same year. County atlases of this period commonly included views like this one, in which landowners who subscribed to the book were pictured with their house, outbuildings and fields.
