Ask about licensing or this print

Identified only by a caption card as Beatrice Abbey, this portrait carries a copyright line from E. Chickering & Co. of Boston and the catalog number 485, which points to a numbered series from that studio. The card's details have not been independently verified, so her name and the date, around 1902, should be read as provisional. Boston portrait studios of that period sold copyrighted images to a broad public, and a print like this reflects the commercial portraiture of the early twentieth century, when studios issued their own numbered images for sale.
