This poster gives its message in three demands: "Wanted - men, munitions, money." Its final line makes the point for anyone who could not enlist or work in a munitions factory: buy the new 4 1/2% war loan. Britain financed the First World War largely through government borrowing, and campaigns like this one asked ordinary citizens to lend their savings to the state. The colored lithograph, designed by Baxter and printed by A. White & Co. of Finsbury, is numbered 13, so it belongs to a larger series of Parliamentary War Savings Committee posters.
