Automobiles are the subject of this view, which its title links to W.B. Moses & Sons, a Washington department store. The title comes from unverified data on the negative or its sleeve, but the date range matches the National Photo Company's work in the District of Columbia during the 1910s, when the automobile was becoming a common sight on the capital's streets. The glass shows streaks and blemishes from natural deterioration of its original coating, which are worth noticing when reading the image. Herbert A. French gave the negative to the Library of Congress in 1947.
