A stereograph card from Keystone View Company's series shows oxen pulling a cart across rural Hungary, a scene the caption presents as an example of older transport methods that still held on in the countryside around 1930. Keystone sold stereo cards like this by the thousands in the early twentieth century, and they were viewed through a hand-held stereoscope to give a three-dimensional effect. Images of working animals and simple carts were a staple of these travel series, offering American viewers a glimpse of farm life abroad. The card's caption is recorded from an older, unverified source, so the exact location and date remain uncertain.
