Titled "Tramp, tramp, tramp for Cuba," this stereograph records soldiers of the 24th U.S. Infantry mobilizing in Georgia. The 24th was one of the all-Black regiments known as the Buffalo Soldiers, and in 1898 units gathered in Georgia's training camps, including Chickamauga Park, before the Spanish-American War sent American troops to Cuba. Keystone View Company of Meadville, Pennsylvania, issued the card around 1898 as one of many stereographs that brought images of the war to home audiences through parlor viewers.
